When God Changed His Address

In “When God Changed His Address,” Pastor Michael Stephens traces the presence of God throughout Scripture—from Eden, to Sinai, to the tabernacle, to the temple, and finally to Pentecost in Acts 2. Throughout the Bible, God repeatedly marked His dwelling place with fire. But at Pentecost, His presence no longer rested in a garden, on a mountain, or in a temple. Through the finished work of Jesus and the baptism in the Holy Spirit, God made His home in His people. This message is an invitation to move beyond spiritual activity and into deeper intimacy with the person of the Holy Spirit, and to come hungry, expectant, and positioned to receive a fresh touch from God.
